Bill McKibbon visited the Energy Foundation thursday to talk about his new book Eaarth and 350.org, the movement he started to promote awareness of climate change. After the disaster in the US Congress this year, enviros are in a funk, but McKibbon says he’s actually encouraged because the situation is so bad that movements like 350.org are taking hold, and will ultimately lead to real substantive actions. He’s also highlighting that what failed in the Senate wasn’t enough anyway, so it wasn’t a real loss.
