John’s notebook…

Visiting Google.org

October 15, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I was at Google in Mountain View yesterday for two meetings. The first meeting was with the Google Foundation. Larry Brilliant and his staff are very impressive. Art talked about energy efficiency and the projects he’s interested in for the “Rosenfeld Project/Fund.” GF want to work with us, so it should be interesting. The second meeting was with NRDC and our DTA consultants Paul Rudnick and Jim Beck (Sun).

Since I was in Mountain View I’m spending the weekend with my Dad and seeing some soccer games at Stanford. Turns out there was a double-header (both men and women games) last night, and another double-header tomorrow. Stanford is a great place to watch soccer, so I’m a happy fan. Last night the men lost to Washington 2-0…

The women defeated ASU 3-2 in an exciting, back and forth game.

Also had a chance to see the Koberleins and meet the newest, Jackson (born on my birthday!).
